Since opening in 2004 Wales Millennium Centre has won a raft of prestigious awards. In the initial years the awards recognized the Centre for its architecture and construction. Now, however, as the Centre has matured into a successful and financially sustainable business, we are winning awards in a variety of disciplines, demonstrating our quest for continual improvement, striving to be the best in all that we do.

2015 Sustain Wales Sustainable Venue of the Year

2015 Visit Wales Gold Accolade

2015 Loo of the Year
Our cleaning team win Platinum Status for the Glanfa toilets for the third year running.

2015 Cardiff Business Award for Tourism
The Cardiff Business Award recognises the outstanding experience we provide for visitors, tourists and business travellers to Cardiff.

Wales Millennium Centre and Rev. Irfan John of the Methodist Church set the world record for ‘most nationalities in a nativity play’ with a grand total of 56 different nationalities.

2007 Guinness World Record for largest gathering of people with the same surname
The record was broken when the Centre hosted a show called Jones Jones Jones, where all artists and audience memebers were named Jones.

2005 National Eisteddfod Gold Medal for Architecture
