Wales Millennium Centre and Wiltshire Creative are thrilled to announce the first ever UK stage adaptation of Agatha Christie’s much-loved Miss Marple thriller, A Mirror Crack’d will open at Salisbury Playhouse on 15 February before touring to Dublin, Cambridge and Cardiff (March 25th).
Adapted for the stage by Rachel Wagstraff and directed by Melly Still, The Mirror Crack’d will be a European Premiere.

With themes of murder, glamour and a web of lies, The Mirror Crack’d is set to immerse audiences in suspense and mystery while the iconic Miss Marple attempts to unravel the tangle of lies and blood. Miss Marple is left to feel that the world has no need of her now until Hollywood comes to a sleepy English village in the shape of a beautiful film star and a mysterious death calls into question the past of all those present. Everyone’s version of events is different. Can she solve the case?
The adaption comes from Rachel Wagstraff, author of multi-award-winning musical Flowers for Mrs Harris. As well as this, Rachel’s critically acclaimed adaption of Birdsong is now on it’s fourth tour, and she also wrote the book for new musical Only the Brave, which was produced at the Wales Millennium Centre in 2016. Melly Still’s work has travelled throughout the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, the Far East, US and Broadway. Melly recently directed Tiger Bay the Musical at Wales Millennium Centre and Cape Town Opera.
The Mirror Crack’d opens at Salisbury Playhouse on 15 of February. The production will come to the New Theatre in Cardiff on the 25th of March. Tickets will go on sale 6 July.
