Call out: Creative Associates

We're committed to finding exciting, meaningful, resilient and democratic ways to work with artists, young people and communities, and that commitment hasn’t waned during this pandemic.

We know that we must put artists and creative practitioners at the heart of our organisation as a central part of the process of rebuilding.

We want to create space for artists and creative practitioners to have time to think, to develop their own creative work and to lead the conversation. Funding from Arts Council of Wales' (ACW) cultural recovery fund has enabled us to accelerate these plans.

So, we’re proud to announce the creation of up to six full-time Creative Associate roles on two-year contracts at a salary of £25,000.

There are flexible options in terms of contracting; you could be PAYE or freelance, you could also work part-time or full-time, and we will support you to shape the role in the best way possible.

We want to work with as wide a range of Creative Associates as possible from across the creative industries; visual artists, digital artists, game makers, theatre makers, choreographers, performers, composers, writers and so on.

These roles are about applying creativity in new ways and having an opportunity to develop your own creative practice, whatever that may be.

As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion we want to make sure that we're capturing data to help us analyse who we are working with and to be better held accountable for our choices. Please complete complete this form to help us understand the reach and impact of the work we are doing. All data is anonymised and held in accordance with GDPR.

This is a really exciting chapter for us, all the more so as it comes in the midst of a very dark chapter for our sector.

We can’t wait to get cracking and to work in new ways with this first cohort of artists and creative practitioners.

Thank you to Arts Council of Wales who part-fund our work.
