Welsh National Opera
WNO has a jam-packed Autumn 2019 and Spring 2020 season coming up, with thrilling productions including Carmen and Rigoletto.
BBC NATIONAL ORCHESTRA & CHORUS OF WALES
To celebrate International Women's Day on 8 March; BBC NOW, conducted by Valentina Peleggi, performs works by 19th and early 20th century female composers including: Clara Schumann (whose Piano Concerto features soloist Mariam Batsashvili), music by Florence Price, and the first ever performance of Augusta Holmès's Roland furieux, composed in 1876.
NATIONAL DANCE COMPANY WALES
The Awakening tour begins at The Riverfront, Newport on 1 March before embarking on a UK tour. And over half term families can join in with NDCWales dancers on stage before watching a performance of Revellers’ Mass on 2 March 2019 with Discover Dance.
There's loads going on at Dance House too including yoga, contemporary and ballet classes for adults and plenty of performances including dance showcases.
TOUCH TRUST
Touch Trust are currently running open days for children and young people aged 0-18 years, packed full of arts, crafts, dance and music.

HIJINX
Hijinx recently won the 2019 International Award from The Stage which recognised their fast-growing global presence in the arts industry.
Into The Light, a brand new co-production premiered at the Sherman on the 15 February and will tour England and Wales in March 2019.
TŶ CERDD
The CoDI Composer development scheme is coming to the end of its first year and CoDI CHAMBER composers will perform at Cardiff University School of Music with the Berkeley Ensemble on 10 April.
The newest CoDI BUDDIES scheme is just getting started with projects to be developed over the coming months across Wales.
The St David's Hall concert series NightMusic has another couple of dates in the diary too with new commissions from Lenny Sayers on 26 February and Lynne Plowman on 9 April.

Y Gadair Wag | The Empty Chair
13 February - 15 March 2019
Following a hugely successful first tour in 2017, Y Gadair Wag | The Empty Chair returns to theatres and venues across Wales and London.
Created by Ifor ap Glyn, National Poet of Wales, directed by Ian Rowlands and with digital art by Jason Lye-Phillips, Y Gadair Wag | The Empty Chair explores themes of loss and identity; using film and experimental techniques to look at Hedd Wyn's life and works alongside other poets of the First World War.
Holy Glimmers of Goodbyes
19 February 2019, 10.30 am at The Senedd, Cardiff Bay
As the events marking the centenary of the First World War draw to a close, Literature Wales invites you to a day of reflection and discussion on war and peace; with readings and introductions by a number of Assembly Members, and commissioned lectures, performances and presentations from some of Wales’ leading poets and writers.
URDD GOBAITH CYMRU
It's a decade since the Cardiff Bay Urdd National Eisteddfod took place in 2009, but the festival which attracts 90,000 visitors each year, returns to the Bay between 27 May – 1 June in 2019.
And for the first time, entry to the grounds will be free of charge for everybody. Adults who wish to watch the competitions – at the Prelims or on the Pavilion stage – will need to buy a wristband for that particular day.
