Over three months in 2019, young participants aged 16+ took part in Tooling Up in the Valleys, as part of our Together Stronger partnership.

Eight young people met up every Saturday to design and create the costumes and set for the Sparc Penyrenglyn Drama Workshop production of The Only Village. 

The production transformed the Valleys Kids Penyrenglyn Project into the last remaining village in a post-Climate Crisis world.

This immersive experience required many different internal and external spaces to be completely changed and dressed to take the audience on this unique journey.

Together Stronger is a partnership between ourselves and Valleys Kids, designed to provide creative opportunities for young people in the Valleys. It's supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation and delivered primarily by Sparc and our own Creative Learning team.
