Touch Trust provides creative, touch-based art of movement and dance programmes for individuals affected by autism, behaviour that challenges and profound and multiple disabilities.
The charity has their own purpose-built multi-sensory suite located in the Glanfa Foyer, achieved through the support of the National Assembly of Wales, the Wales Millennium Centre Trust and the Arts Council of Wales.
The sessions are done on a one-to-one basis, with groups or with individuals from community and educational settings and include:
- Relaxation with touch and massage
- Creative movement
- Music and dance with an emphasis on enjoyment and fun for guests and their carers within a positive and nurturing environment
- Individually tailored programmes based on a person-centred approach
Touch Trust is open Monday to Saturday and includes children's after-school sessions.
