Joined by local musicians and writers of spoken word, Keith Murrell presents a night of songs and stories inspired by the life of Nelson Mandela.
Born and raised in a rural village, Mandela joined the African National Congress where he became a leading figure in the fight against apartheid. 2018 marks Mandela’s centenary year.
As he famously said of his and others’ struggle against apartheid:
‘I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.’
This event is programme alongside Nelson Mandela: The Centenary Exhibition 2018.
The Centre is pleased to host this exhibition presented by Apartheid Museum, Anti-Apartheid Movement Archives, and Southbank Centre. as we move from Cardiff to the cosmos.
