Calling all yarn bombers, curious yarn bombers or newbies, we’re looking for you.
As part of Your Voice, our opening exhibition which opens on 19 July we’re working to create a giant crochet tree with Cardiff-based artists.
This will take centre stage in our Donald Gordon Theatre and we’re looking for you to fill the space with all of your fabulous yarn creations, preferably with natural and recycled materials.
We want to fill the main stage, parts of the tree and auditorium with crochet pieces, showcasing nature with a festival vibe.
We are looking for bunting, vines, flora, insects, birds and animals to fill the space (abstract shapes are very welcome as well).
We will be yarn-bombing the main house on 18 July and will run some open slots for people to come and add their pieces to the auditorium.
Due to restrictions this will be limited but all pieces are welcome, they can be sent to us or delivered, and we will make sure all pieces are included within the space.
If you want to chat through any ideas please email community@wmc.org.uk and help us make a magical wonderland come to life in the Donald Gordon Theatre.
