Join Pobol y Cwm’s actors including Jonathon Nefydd (Colin), Sera Cracroft (Eileen) and Dyfan Rees (Iolo) for a behind-the-scenes tour of Cwmderi at BBC Studios Wales, Roath Lock. There will be a different set of actors leading the tours every day.
Pobol y Cwm is the BBC’s longest-running television soap opera and the series was first broadcast on 16 October 1974.
The studios are usually closed to the public, and to celebrate Pobol y Cwm’s 50th anniversary, BBC Cymru Wales is opening the doors, for a limited time only.
As well as taking a peek around the iconic interior sets at the drama studios, the anniversary tours will include a visit to the well-known main street, offering you a taste of life behind the scenes at Cwmderi.
The bilingual tours will allow you to follow in the footsteps of the characters and to see the exact locations where the banter and bickering, and the laughter and tears take place. BSL (British Sign Language) interpreted tours will be available Sunday morning, 13 October at 9:45am and 11:45am.
