What Happens Next?
What would happen if the audience could help decide the outcome of a play, if writers were held accountable for every minute of their story? What would happen if multiple perspectives were involved in every stage of the creative process? If you want to know, come and see.
Details of project:
Have you ever gone to see a play and thought you would have written it differently? What Happens Next is a project which begins with six writers writing the first five minutes of a play each. These five minutes are brought to life by directors and actors for an audience, who are then posed the question, what happens next? Influenced by the audience's responses, the writers will then have 48 hours to continue with their stories, writing the next five minutes. These are then experienced by the same audience the following week, where afterwards they are proposed the same question. What happens next? Over the course of 7 weeks, with the input of writers, directors, actors and audiences, 6 brand new 30-minute pieces of theatre will be developed.
We are looking for Writers, Directors and Actors to be involved in this exciting 7-week project. No theatre experience required, but a passion for storytelling is essential.
