Explore the branching human body at the scale of a forest. Evolver is a 360º audio visual world which is experienced through an audio meditation, on screen and in virtual reality.
Experience this transcendental art installation which makes visible the journey of breath as it flows through the landscape of the human body; from lungs to heart to cell. In following breath, we discover the world flows into us and we flow into the world. The artwork challenges the boundary between self and other, inside and outside, human and nature.
Narrated by Cate Blanchett with Music by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, avant-garde artist Meredith Monk, late Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson and experimentalist Howard Skempton and spiritually informed ambient electronic maestro Jon Hopkins.
Evolver is rooted in scientific observation, using data gathered through extensive collaboration with leading scientific institutions. The resulting artwork places the audience as explorers at the outer limits of the observable. By exploring the human body at the size of a forest; universal patterns emerge.

What can I expect from the experience?
Evolver is a deeply immersive art experience that blends science, meditation, and cutting edge technology to transform your sense of the human body and breath. It's an experience of 3 parts, you will start with a breathing meditation where the voice of Cate Blanchette will guide you, drawing you into deep relaxation, centring your awareness on your own breath before the visual journey begins. The experience continues as an interactive VR experience, leading you into a deep dive inside the human body taking you through the processes that sustain all life. This exhibition space will feature a series of immersive screen installations, ending in a decompression space, giving time for reflection, calm and intrigue.
How long does the experience last?
The experience is 45 minutes long, including 10 minutes of onboarding.
What equipment is necessary to participate in the experience?
Headphones and VR headsets are used during this experience.
