This 4-week beginner course is the perfect place to start!
Platfform brings you Explore Hip-hop Movement.
Join dancer and choreographer Onyx Owandulu for high-energy sessions packed with movement, music and creativity. Over the four weeks you'll:
- Discover the roots and history of hip-hop movement
- Try out classic party moves
- Explore how hip-hop beats shape movement
- Learn about cypher culture
- Build everything you’ve learned into a final group routine

Wednesday 25 February, 6–8pm

Wednesday 11 March, 6–8pm
Wednesday 18 March, 6–8pm
Saturday 21 March, 11am-4pm...featuring rehearsals and a sharing to family and friends
All participants will then have the opportunity to become Platfform members, with access to exclusive trips, events and free use of our spaces and equipment.
Onyx Owandulu
Onyx is a hip hop dancer and choreographer driven by a love for movement with hip hop culture inspiring her practice across all styles of dance. She is the founder of Insanity Dance, training dancers who are Welsh Champions, Vice World Champions, and a team that placed 4th at the UDO World Championships 2024. Teaching out of Cardiff’s leading studio, J1 Studios, as well as in numerous locations around south wales, Onyx is passionate about inspiring confidence in her dancers, both on and off the dance floor.
