Are you aged 18–30 and interested in running your own workshops?

Apply Here

Whether you’re already involved in creative projects or looking to take the first step, this is your chance to build the skills you need to become a confident, engaging facilitator – and open up new employment opportunities along the way.

What’s Involved?

Over 10 weekly sessions, you’ll get an overview of what it takes to plan and deliver brilliant workshops – especially for young audiences. Together we’ll:

  • Identify and build on the skills you already have
  • Explore what makes a workshop exciting, inclusive, and effective
  • Learn practical tips and tools to design and run engaging sessions
  • Practice running a workshop in a safe, supportive environment

The sessions will be led by experienced facilitators and theatre-makers, Flossy and Boo, and we’ll also be inviting in seasoned facilitators and workshop leaders from across the creative sector to provide their insight and experience.

There’ll also be an opportunity to attend a development workshop with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Following the completion of the course, you will be offered short-term placements with Youth Arts organisations across South Wales – a unique opportunity to help develop your skills and CV.

When and Where

Thursdays, 17 September – 26 November (no session 29 October)

6pm – 8.30pm

Platfform, Wales Millennium Centre
