Trumpeter Tomos Williams returns to Cabaret, after his sold out show in February, with his band of brilliant musicians to play the music of jazz legend Miles Davis.
7Steps perform some of the classics associated with the great trumpeter; So What, All Blues, Milestones but also play some of the less well known songs from Miles' vast catalogue such as Joshua, Masqualero and Teo.
2026 is the centenary year of Miles Davis' birth, and 7Steps will perform the music of one of the towering figures of 20th Century music, with passion and vigour.
The quintet, includes stellar Welsh jazz musicians Joe Northwood on tenor sax, pianist Dave Jones, Welsh jazz royalty Paula Gardiner on bass and the magnificent Mark O'Connor on drums.
Tomos Williams is a leading and unique voice on the Welsh jazz scene. Heavily indebted and influenced by Miles' music ,7Steps is a natural project for Tomos to front. Tomos also leads the jazz/folk sextet, Burum, the groundbreaking Indo-Welsh fusion band 'Khamira', and his Cwmwl Tystion/Witness project.
