Dave Jones’ ‘Trunk of Funk’ play their own exciting and interactive arrangements of classic jazz-funk fusion tunes by Dave Sanborn, Freddie Hubbard, and Chick Corea, amongst others, alongside alternative takes on both a Duke Ellington tune and ‘Autumn Leaves’ from the standard repertoire.

Between them, the members of this line-up have played with Bob Berg, Portishead, James Taylor Quartet, Sarah Jane Morris (The Communards), Phil Gould (of Level 42), Goldfrapp, Kasabian and Slowly Rolling Camera. Band leader Dave Jones has composed incidental music for tv productions on major national networks worldwide, including ‘The Big Bang Theory’ in the US, news and current affairs programmes in Japan and Europe, and a variety of UK lifestyle programmes.
