Unity Festival’s Grand Opening

1 July 2026

Cabaret

Lights up. Heels on. Here we go!

We are kicking off 2026’s Unity Festival in style with a night of drag, disruption, and unapologetic celebration headlined by the electrifying Midgitte Bardot. A powerhouse performer with a voice that soars and a wit that cuts, Midgitte is your host for the evening - flipping the room from tears to total chaos in a heartbeat.

Rolling in the deep, Hijinx’s Crabulous! claws its way into the event with a subversive saltwater splash. Part creature-feature, part cabaret fever dream... Expect strange, silly and slightly unhinged storytelling that slips sideways just when you think you’ve got it pinned down.

Next, strutting their way from Seville, a drag mother/daughter combo from Danza Mobile serve up 10s, 10s, 10s across the board with a bold, ballroom-inspired spectacle where runway meets resistance. Watch them claim the stage with some seriously sequined attitude.

Serving it loud on home soil, the House of Deviant return with their new dragstravaganza ‘LIPS: Loud, Indecent, Proud’. Wales’ premier learning disabled drag troupe are back where they belong, and they are not here to play nice. These queens steal the spotlight with a scandalous soundtrack and stories that refuse to stay quiet, so leave your inside voices at the door because in here we are unapologetically loud. Loose lips don’t sink ships, they start revolutions!

Start time: 8:00pm, doors 7:00pm
