You may have noticed that ticket prices can fluctuate between performances in the Donald Gordon Theatre due to continual price optimisation while shows are on sale. By adjusting ticket prices in response to factors such as demand and seat availability, Wales Millennium Centre can optimise revenue from high-demand events.
We’re a charity so this ticketing income directly supports and nurtures the arts in Wales. You can read about our creative projects with young people, artists and the national community in our What We Do section.
As a creative home for everyone, we want to ensure anyone can access the arts, whatever their background or circumstance. We therefore monitor and adjust ticket prices to ensure a fair and accessible range of seats are available where possible. By maintaining this balance, we’re able to give more people the chance to experience world-class performances while creating a sustainable financial model to fund our programmes delivering pioneering creative experiences and opportunities for all.
We also allocate thousands of ringfenced ‘Pay what you can’ tickets each year to community groups and audiences. This targeted ticketing scheme, distributed through our established networks, allows us to give more people the opportunity to experience magical live performances.
Every purchase you make at Wales Millennium Centre helps supports the arts in Wales. Diolch.
