Access Scheme

Wales Millennium Centre is a member of Hynt.  Hynt is a national access scheme working with a network of theatres and arts centres across Wales.

All Hynt cardholders are entitled to a ticket free of charge for their companion, carer or personal assistant.

Hynt is managed in partnership by Creu Cymru and Diverse Cymru and all administration of the scheme is completed independently of Wales Millennium Centre.

All applications for Hynt need to be sent to or alternatively posted to:

Hynt Card
Network House
St Ives Way

For more information on Hynt and to download an application form the Hynt website

To Book Tickets using a Hynt Card

Once a Hynt Card-holder you can book your tickets in person or over the phone, giving your unique Hynt reference number upon booking. A carer, companion, personal assistant or Group Organiser can book on behalf of a Hynt Card-holder however the tickets can only be issued to the card-holder, who must show their photographic Hynt Card. Tickets can be collected up to two hours before each performance by the card-holder.
Prior to Hynt Launch (26th March 2015)

Previous to joining Hynt the Centre ran its own Access Scheme. Customers who joined this between March 2011 and March 2015 will need to reapply to Hynt in order to continue to have access to their free carer tickets. There will be a cross-over period however and up until 1st September 2015 it will be possible to book tickets based on our previous scheme. After 1st September only Hynt Cardholders will be eligible for the carer ticket free of charge.

If you are a member of a social or community group which is led by a Group Leader/Organiser, please ensure that the relevant person(s) within your party who may be eligible for a Hynt card, have joined Hynt independently before making your payment.

Hynt is presently a scheme specifically for individual disabled patrons and does not cover organizational bookings. If you are an organisation, business i.e. residential care homes, hospices etc. which is responsible for the care and well-being of groups of disabled people that otherwise would not be able to attend the Centre unless accompanied, you will need to apply directly to Wales Millennium Centre and complete a risk assessment.

Please download here:

Organisation - Access Scheme Application Form  (The criterion for complimentary seats is based on the submission of risk assessments from the Group leader).

Once your Organizational Access form is completed, please send to:

Access Scheme
Ticketing Services
Wales Millennium Centre
Bute Place

Please note that this address is for Organizational applications only. All other applications should be sent directly to Hynt (details above).

Your Organizational application form will then be assessed and processed and you will be notified within 28 days on whether your application was successful. If you are eligible you will be given a customer booking number which you will need to quote for all future bookings.

The Centre's access scheme is supported by Diverse Cymru, Disability Arts Cymru, Wales Council for the Blind and Cardiff Vale and Valley Institute for the Blind.
