If you’re an individual or an organisation here’s how to access free tickets for carers and companions.

Join Hynt

Hynt is a national access scheme working with a network of theatres and arts centres across Wales.

As a member of the Hynt network we offer cardholders a free ticket for their companion, carer or personal assistant.

Hynt is managed in partnership by Creu Cymru and Diverse Cymru; you can apply to be a member on the Hynt website.

Booking tickets with a Hynt card

You can book your tickets in person or over the phone, giving your unique Hynt reference number upon booking.

If you have booked with us previously and your existing account has a valid Hynt barcode number attached to it, you can also book online.

All you need to do is log in with your registered email address, prior to selecting your production of choice from our What’s On page. If you don't have a Wales Millennium Centre online account already, you can create one here. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for Hynt to appear on your account.

A carer, companion, personal assistant or group organiser can book on behalf of a Hynt cardholder, however tickets can only be issued to the cardholder, who must show their photographic Hynt card each time they attend a performance.

The number of Hynt tickets available to you online will be limited based on the number agreed by Hynt during the application process. Please ensure you have selected the relevant amount of tickets for all members of your party.

Access scheme for organisations

Hynt is an access scheme specifically designed for individual disabled patrons and does not cover bookings made by an organisation such as a residential care home or hospice.

If you are responsible for the care and well being of groups of disabled people that otherwise would not be able to visit, you will need to apply directly to us and complete a risk assessment.

The criteria for complimentary seats is based on the submission of risk assessments from the group leader.

Email access@wmc.org.uk to apply for the scheme.

Our organisational access scheme is supported by Diverse Cymru, Disability Arts Cymru, Wales Council for the Blind and Cardiff Vale and Valley Institute for the Blind.
