In celebration of Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday we partnered with National Theatre Wales to create City of the Unexpected.

2016 marked the 100th anniversary of Roald Dahl's birth and we celebrated with a wonderful programme of performances, events and activities.

The city centre exploded into the weird and wonderful world of Roald Dahl with unexpected happenings popping up throughout Cardiff.

The event included a Giant Peach, a mischievous fox family, the wedding of Miss Ladybird and Mr Fireman and much more.

Audiences discovered the underbelly of Cardiff's hidden secret spaces such as bank vaults, castles, secret gardens, churches, worm farms and city halls filled with the spirit and stories of Cardiff's most famous storyteller, Roald Dahl.
