National Dance Company Wales , is one of Europe’s finest dance companies with an extensive UK and international touring programme
The company brings innovative choreography to Wales, performed by dancers with virtuosity, individuality and character. Recent commissions include Stephen Petronio (USA), Itzik Galili (Netherlands), Nigel Charnock (UK), Stijn Celis (Belgium) and Roy Campbell-Moore (Wales).
These exhilarating dance performances are complemented by wide-ranging engaging participation and education work throughout the community.
Also, central to our work is the development of the art form at our home, the Dance House at Wales Millennium Centre. This is one of the finest production centres for dance and also contains a perfect, intimate and comfortable performance space for both company performances and to showcase the work of young dancers and new creative talents. It has its own entrance in Pierhead Street opposite the National Assembly for Wales.
