Theatr Gen Creu ar Daith: Pwy ’Sgrifennodd Honna?

2 & 3 July 2019

Preseli Room

Rehearsed readings of plays by local playwrights Melangell Dolma, Cai Llewelyn Evans, Gruffudd Eifion Owen and Lowri Morgan.

Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru’s 2019 New Playwrights’ Group project culminates in a series of rehearsed readings across Wales of new plays by the new wave of Welsh-language playwrights. This is an opportunity to enjoy the fruits of 10 months of writing and development, under the guidance of Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, by some of Wales’s most exciting new Welsh-language playwrights.

Each event will include readings of new plays by two playwrights, followed by a conversation session with the playwrights, cast and directors.

2 July: Rehearsed readings of plays by Melangell Dolma (Bore Oes) and Cai Llewelyn Evans (Bwyd Ci)

3 July: Rehearsed readings of plays by Gruffudd Eifion Owen (Parti Priodas) and Lowri Morgan (Nhw)

Parti Priodas

Hymns, tensions and awkward bilingualism: welcome to Dafydd and Samantha’s wedding!

Masculinity and Femininity. How far do we lose ourselves in these extremes? And how extreme is the effect this has on us?
