Since opening our doors in 2004 we’ve welcomed over 16.5 million visitors and we're the home of performing arts in Wales.
What we do
- We stage world-class productions from around the globe, ensuring our offering is accessible and inclusive to all.
- We create made-in-Wales productions and events which showcase Welsh talent, our culture and heritage to the rest of the world.
- Act as a cultural hub for Wales where people from all backgrounds can enjoy and participate in the arts.
Become a volunteer
As a community focused charity, we actively encourage people from all walks of life to get more involved with the arts and take part in our fantastic volunteering scheme.
The Centre is an inspiring, motivating and exceptionally rewarding place to work at and there’s never a dull moment.
Perhaps you’d like to try something new, gain new skills, meet new people or further an existing interest in the arts?
"I've always been a patron for the Centre right from the beginning, and volunteering has helped me to come back to the arts. I've loved the friendships made and sense of commaraderie felt since becoming a Volunteer."
We are always looking for volunteer ushers to help enhance our front-of-house offering and world-class customer service.
As part of our customer experience team you’ll be responsible for giving the public a warm Welsh welcome to the building and making sure that everyone can enjoy themselves in a safe and relaxed environment.
All new volunteers receive an induction and full training, together with a uniform and badge.
Volunteers also get to experience a variety of shows as part of our ever-increasing artistic programme.
If you’d like to join the team as a volunteer then it's worth following our social media pages for volunteer roles and updates. We regularly recruit for new events that require staffing such as the Festival of Voice and Performances for the Curious.
