On Air

A group of young people sat in a radio station talking

This workshop is aimed at young people aged 14 – 19 yrs and will guide you through the scriptwriting process from concept to delivery, whilst learning those all-important 'behind-the-scenes' tricks of the trade.

At the end of the workshops, you'll get to share your work through a radio presentation on our youth-led radio station, Radio Platfform.

Experienced workshop facilitator, actor and writer, Ndidi Spencer, will help you to develop key skills in creative writing and communication as you create your very own radio script for our airwaves.

The course will also provide a useful insight into the creative industries here in Wales.

Join us in Radio Platfform, every Monday from 9 March - 11 May from 6pm – 8pm to take part.

Creating digital music

This free, eight-week music technology workshop series for 14 – 19 yrs will teach you everything you need to know about creating songs using digital technology.

Starting with the basics of music-tech and building up to creating your very own piece of music, these workshops will build confidence and provide a solid basis in understanding music technology.

Reid’s Digital Music have helped young people with music technology for the last seven years and will lead the workshops, teaching you: how to use music technology programmes, the basics of song arrangements and how to remix tracks.

By the end of the workshop you'll have created your own music to share on our airwaves. No prior experience is needed to take part and all equipment is provided free.

Join us in Unit 1, every Monday from 9 March - 11 May from 6pm – 8pm to take part.

Dy Stori, Dy Lais

This workshop series is for people aged 14-19 yrs and is delivered in Welsh, covering a range of art forms.

This workshop will be delivered in Welsh so you'll need to speak and understand Welsh to a good level in order to take part.

Experienced playwright, Hefin Robinson (winner of the National Eisteddfod Drama medal 2016), will lead a series of creative workshops on expressing ideas through scriptwriting; including how to write scripts in Welsh and will build towards a short piece created by the participants.

The series will also include workshops by visual artist Gweni Llwyd, who will build on the same stories, and explore a range of artistic techniques to bring them to life in a different art form.

These workshops will help build confidence and build key skills in creative writing and visual art.

Join us in Radio Platfform, every Wednesday from 11 March - 13 May from 6pm – 8pm to take part.

All of our workshops are free to attend. There's a two week break during the Easter Holidays from 6 - 19 April.
