By supporting Wales Millennium Centre through our membership schemes, you agree to abide by the Membership Terms and Conditions as set out below.

You are also giving permission for Wales Millennium Centre to contact you by phone, mail and email with information about our work, upcoming shows and events.

Membership Eligibility and Benefits

GENERAL

1.1. Wales Millennium Centre reserves the right to alter or vary the suggested donation values for Partner or Partner Awen membership.
1.2. Membership and all benefits are non-transferrable.
1.3. Members enter into a 12-month contract.
1.4. Membership can be cancelled within a 14-day period from sign up, but only if no benefits have been accessed.
1.5. Joint membership is for two adults living at the same address. Both members will receive a digital membership card, can purchase tickets during priority booking period and gain access to ticket offers and discounts.
1.6. Email communications will only be sent to current members, including those due to renew. When purchasing a joint membership members will receive one communication per household, unless both have opted to receive communication.
1.7. Communications regarding upcoming shows, events and our work will be sent bilingually. However, personal communication with the Development Team will be conducted primarily in English.
1.8. Wales Millennium Centre reserves the right to withdraw benefits at any time and without prior notice.
1.9  Wales Millennium Centre reserves the right to make alterations to our membership schemes without prior notice.
1.10. Wales Millennium Centre’s general terms and conditions of sale apply to our membership packages.
1.11. We reserve the right to contact you about how your donation is supporting our work and how you could support us further.

ELIGIBILITY

2.1. You must be aged 18 or over in order to apply for membership or renewal.
2.2. Applicants and gift recipients of joint memberships must be two adults living at the same address and will receive one communication per household, unless both have opted to receive communication.
2.3. Wales Millennium Centre reserves the right to reject an application for membership or to terminate a membership at any time due to the reason of misconduct or unacceptable behaviour while on Wales Millennium Centre's premises, at an event in conjunction with Wales Millennium Centre or online. Legal action may also be taken. 
2.4. Wales Millennium Centre reserves the right to reject an application for membership or to terminate a membership at any time due to any acts of misconduct or unacceptable behaviour that brings Wales Millennium Centre’s reputation into disrepute, including online. Legal action may also be taken.
2.5. In the event that Wales Millennium Centre terminates a membership in accordance with clause 2.3 or 2.4., no refund will be given to that member for the cost of their membership for any remaining period of membership.

PARTNER BENEFITS

3.1. Priority booking will be available where possible. Where not available, exclusive seats will be available for members to book for a limited time.
3.1.1 Access to top seats before our Ffrind and Ffrind+ members is subject to agreement of external touring companies.
3.1.2. Partner members must book their tickets online.
3.1.3. Members will receive show announcements, updates and on sale information by email wherever possible. 
3.2. Access to Copr, our private members' bar and lounge. See 5.
3.3. 20% off drinks in our Caffi, Cabaret, Teras, Ffwrnais and theatre bars. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. Discount can be redeemed through members' digital membership card. 
3.4. Special events take place throughout the year. Members will be notified as soon as dates and details are confirmed. Events are usually based around our touring or in-house productions, but can also be around an exhibition, fundraising campaign or general Centre celebration.
3.5. Members are welcome to bring guests along to events; one guest for individual members and two for joint members. Further guests are usually welcomed for a suggested donation which will be communicated prior to the event.

PARTNER AWEN BENEFITS

Inclusive of all terms and conditions for Partner members plus:
4.1. Each new member will be invited to take part in a behind the scenes tour. This must be claimed within the first year of membership and is only available to those joining the membership scheme for the first time.
4.2. Partner Awen members are entitled to a personal booking service, which is available Monday – Friday between the hours of 10am – 4pm, subject to staff availability*. If you are unable to make contact, please email supporters@wmc.org.uk and someone from the Development Team will contact you within 2 working days. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased on our website or through the Ticket Office on 029 2063 6464.
4.3. Access to top seats for Welsh National Opera before our Ffrind, Ffrind+ and Partner members only applies where available and in accordance with Welsh National Opera’s terms and conditions.

COPR – MEMBERS’ BAR AND LOUNGE

5.1. The private members’ bar and lounge is only available for performances in the Donald Gordon Theatre and is not available for performances in our Weston Studio, Cabaret and other performance spaces or public spaces, unless otherwise agreed.
5.2. Members should book spaces in the private members’ bar and lounge when purchasing tickets. If you need to let us know that you wish to use the private members’ bar and lounge at a later date you must call or email the Development team at least 24 hours before your visit.
5.3. Unless specified otherwise, the private members’ bar and lounge is open one hour prior to the show starting and for the entirety of the interval.
5.4. Members are permitted to bring up to three guests with an individual membership and six guests with a joint membership.
5.5. Guests must always be accompanied by an active member and are not permitted to use the lounge when visiting without a member present.
5.6. Guests must also be booked in to use the private members' bar and lounge at least 24 hours before their visit and can only be added by a Partner/Partner Awen member
5.7. We reserve the right to revoke access to the private members’ bar and lounge at any time.
5.8. If there are fewer than six members using the private members’ bar and lounge, then Wales Millennium Centre reserves the right to ask you to make a pre-order and the lounge may be unstaffed.
5.9. There is a maximum capacity for the private members’ bar and lounge, access is given on a first come first served basis. Once it has reached capacity additional members will no longer be able to access the lounge.

5.10 Wales Millennium Centre is committed to offering a safe, respectful and welcoming environment for all – our members, supporters, visitors and staff – and will take action if anyone experiences offensive comments or intimidating behaviour of any kind on our site.

GENERAL BENEFITS CLAUSES
6.1. All member benefits are for a duration of one year (unless specified otherwise).
6.2. Please note you can update your details and preferences at any time by going to your online membership account or by contacting us.
6.3. Your named membership is non-transferable, unless otherwise agreed.
6.4. Member offers are available on the top two ticket prices where possible, except one-night performances, unless otherwise stated.
6.5. Member offers cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts and concessions or be applied to tickets already purchased.
6.6. Tickets, discounts and other special offers are all subject to agreement from the touring company and availability.
6.7. Ticket discounts cannot be claimed when booking tickets via other ticket agencies.
6.8. During the priority booking period individual members can book a maximum of four tickets and joint members can book a maximum of eight tickets per performance. Donald Gordon Theatre performances only.
6.9. Further tickets may be purchased during the public on sale period, subject to normal ticket restrictions.
6.10. Priority Booking period is usually a minimum of 24 hours, but if this is not possible an extra allocation of seats will be held for members for a limited period.
6.11. Discounts can only be applied to the named card holder(s).
6.12. Discounts cannot be claimed against licensed show merchandise such as T-shirts and CDs.

SIGNING UP AND RENEWALS

7.1. How to sign up

7.1.2. Membership renewals can be made online by signing into your online members’ account

7.2. Payment
7.2.1. Payment can be made by direct debit, credit or debit card.
7.2.2. Direct Debit payments can only be set up via telephone: 029 2063 6423
7.2.3. When paying by Direct Debit your monthly payments will be taken on the 1st of each month. We collect membership payments in advance, so your first payment will likely be higher.
7.2.4. When paying by Direct Debit your membership starts from the date of sign-up. Payments are taken on 1st of the following month if sign-up is before midnight on the 9th of the month. For sign-ups after 10th of the month, payment will be taken the month after next. You will be contacted via email prior to any payments being taken. 
7.2.5. Please note that charity vouchers and other payment methods will not be accepted for membership subscriptions in compliance with HMRC guidelines.

7.3. Cancellation and refunds
7.3.1. Membership of Wales Millennium Centre is a form of charitable giving. Once a membership has been paid in full and a card issued, no refunds can be made.
7.3.2. This is a year-long membership with an obligation to complete the payment schedule. If you are paying by monthly direct debit and cancel your membership during the year, you must still pay the outstanding balance.
7.3.3. Membership benefits are valid while your membership is active and deactivate when a membership is cancelled or is not renewed before the expiry date as shown in 'My Account'. 

7.4. Membership recruitment offers and complimentary gift
7.4.1. From time to time Wales Millennium Centre may run special offers to promote membership. No bulk or third-party entries are permitted and offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.

7.5. GDPR
7.5.1. Members' names and contact details will be stored on a database so that we can send you information and offers relating to Wales Millennium Centre which may include additional fundraising activities.
7.5.2. Wales Millennium Centre shall store and process your personal data in accordance with any applicable Data Protection legislation.
7.5.3. Members have the right to elect whether or not to receive further information regarding projects, performances or activities hosted or run by Wales Millennium Centre. If you should change your mind at any time during your membership, please notify us.
7.5.4. In accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website, Wales Millennium Centre will not share your information with third parties, with the exception of HMRC should you choose to add Gift Aid to your membership. 

7.6. Gift Aid
7.6.1. Our Partner membership package comprises of a benefits portion and a donation portion.
7.6.2. Any donation given above the agreed value of benefits will be eligible for Gift Aid. We will ask you if you are eligible for gift aid at point of sign up, please let us know if you would like to gift aid your donation at this point, or thereafter if your circumstances change. 7.7 Digital membership card

7.7 Digital membership card
7.7.1. Members claim their on-site benefits by showing their digital membership card or personal QR code (both found by logging on to ‘My Account’)
7.7.2. Digital membership cards are valid until the date of membership expiry as shown in ‘My Account’
7.7.3. Membership cards and associated details are not transferable and can only be used by the named cardholder(s) to book tickets or receive discounts

VARIATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions were last updated on 16 January 2024. Wales Millennium Centre reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Such variations shall become effective immediately upon posting on Wales Millennium Centre’s website. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing membership, renewal or buying a membership as a gift. You should understand that by submitting the application online, by telephone or by post, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and our Privacy Notice. These terms and conditions of membership should also be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of sale.

Please note: if you are making use of a membership bought for you as a gift by someone else, then by your action you agree and accept that these terms and conditions apply between us.
