Former U.S National Youth Poet Laureate 2019-20 and talented musician, singer, songwriter and poet, KARA JACKSON gives a free performance on the Glanfa stage at this year's Llais.
A talented spoken word artist and poet, Kara's work focuses on particular items and nameable moments from our day-to-day lives, the forces of white supremacy, misogyny and white male exceptionalism.
Much of Kara's work honours her lineage and she articulates herself in a way that feels natural - intertwining and honouring her Southern roots and Black culture.
Kara will also be a panellist for the Music and Activism talk that starts at 2.30pm.
