Butetown Carnival 2021

The sun is shining and there's an August carnival vibe in the air! Join us for community fun, culture and live music on Sunday 29 and Monday 30 August.

On Sunday, kicking off at 12pm from the Centre, the Butetown Carnival 2021 parade will make its way along the waterfront area of Cardiff Bay towards the Norwegian Church with various performance stops along the way, before arriving back at the Centre at around 1pm ready for live music on our outdoor stage outside the front of the building.

The participants are mostly children and families who have been involved in costume making workshops at Butetown Pavilion Hub, Oasis Refugee Centre in Splott and Pedal Power in Pontcanna, where adults with learning difficulties helped to decorate the tandem bikes being used.
