Join singer-songwriter Matthew Frederick for a six-week workshop on the basics of songwriting.

On this course you'll have the opportunity to write a variety of songs both collectively and in breakout groups. You'll also be encouraged to write individually at home in between sessions, and, if comfortable, to share your work with the rest of the group in each week’s workshop.
Confident instrumentalist? You'll be more than welcome to bring your instrument along. Participants will have the opportunity to write and compose around themes and subjects that they’re passionate about. These sessions will be participant-led as much as possible, enabling young artists to take control from a musical standpoint with Matthew’s guidance in harnessing their lyrical capabilities and song structures.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Our courses are available to anyone aged 14-25 yrs from all backgrounds across Wales and are entry level, aimed at the curious, beginners, or for those looking to refresh their skills.

WHEN IS IT?

Every Thursday, 6pm – 8pm for six weeks starting 10 November 2022.

This course has six sessions taking place on: 10 November, 17 November, 24 November, 1 December, 8 December, and 15 December and you’ll need to attend each one. Please add one ticket to your basket to book your place on the entire course.

Creative Voice is a unique training programme offering young people the platform to explore their interests, express themselves, build creative confidence, and to share their narrative through practical learning.
