Looking to get into writing for theatre?

In this six-week introductory course, we’ll be looking at the current landscape of theatre and examine a variety of approaches to writing for the stage. Through practical writing work, we’ll explore story structure, developing characters and narratives, monologues and more.

Designed as a social writer’s room space where everyone is encouraged to bring their different ideas, interests and perspectives, Writing for Theatre is a course where questions are always welcome and where you’ll be supported throughout in developing your voice as a writer.

Whether you’re already on a journey as a writer, whether you’re a creative who’s not yet explored writing, or you’re just curious about what theatre can offer, come join the writer’s room!

Who is teaching the course?

Experienced writer-facilitators will lead these sessions.

Do I need any skills or experience to take part?

No – this course is open to all levels and abilities.

When is it?

The course runs every Monday, 6pm – 8pm for six weeks from 10 June to 15 July.
