Dewch i mewn

Whether you're an emerging playwright or established theatre maker, there are many ways we can help you with your artistic journey.

We offer four strands of artist support that are mostly aimed at people working within the performing arts.

Help and support

This is available to any artists working on subsidised projects, rooted in Wales. You'll receive:

  • Access to free space in the Centre to use however you wish - for rehearsals, auditions or perhaps for R&D work - it's entirely up to you. We can’t provide you with space for public performances or activities that will earn you money though.
  • Free creative and producing mentoring. Our Producing and Programming team can offer advice and support to help you achieve your artistic goals.

Workshops

Led by leading industry professionals, our workshops are designed to help you find your way as an artist. Previous workshops have included Liz LermanEquitySplit BritchesTaking Flight and Fuel.

If you have ideas on the type of workshops you’d find beneficial, we'd love to hear from you so please get in touch with your ideas and suggestions.

Presenting productions

Bullish by Milk Presents

We present a variety of work at the Centre in many languages including English, Welsh and BSL; from large-scale productions in the Donald Gordon Theatre, to smaller productions in the Weston Studio  as well as performances in our public and outdoor spaces.

If you have a production or an idea for a production which fits within our programmes then we'd love to hear from you: email artists@wmc.org.uk

Producing and co-producing

Double Vision by GaggleBabble

We create a range of in-house productions, at differing scales that entertain our audiences, support Welsh talent and encourage artists to take risks creatively.

While our work is rooted in Wales it's also relevant to wider, international audiences and we love to showcase our work to Wales and the rest of the world.

Developing your ideas

If you have an idea that you'd like to be considered, please email us a short treatment that's no longer than two sides of A4, your artistic CV and links to any previous work you may have done.

If you have an idea that you'd like to be considered, you may want to begin by booking a slot at our Open Office so you can meet with one of our team face to face.
